Aera is on a mission to design and create products that stand the test of time. In that spirit, we have made transparency and care for the environment our main pillars and we are fully committed to collaborating only with partners that help us achieve our sustainability goals.

achieve

Product
We create limited runs of each watch to avoid over-production.
The casing of a well-cared-for watch is designed to last a lifetime, as should a regularly maintained movement. Our watches are not produced to be disposable. Their robust design means repairs can be made easily over time.
Straps are designed to integrate across a variety of models. We keep production quantities low by reducing the need to produce different straps for each model.
Packaging & Delivery
Made out of paper which makes it fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Our paper comes from pulps used from managed forests. It is Heavy Metal Free and because the bleaching process avoids the use of harmful chlorine.
We are going with a local, UK-based supplier which will mean less impact in transit.
We decided early on that all our instruction manuals and warranties would live only online to reduce the need for printing paper manuals.
We anticipate offering customers an optional smaller, even lower-impact box for delivery, breaking the industry wide system of lavish presentation boxes that are otherwise thrown away or stored.
