C-1 Rennsport

An homage to the quintessential sports car, this limited edition C-1 has been created in partnership with Porsche 911 restomod specialist, Rennsport in an edition of 25 units. Inspired by the golden age of analogue motoring, it combines our modern design aesthetic with 3-D-printed sub-dials in the style of Porsche’s famous Fuchs wheels, a signature feature of the classic 911.

Renowned for its light weight and nimble handling, the Porsche 911 redefined what was possible when it launched in 1964. Today, Rennsport restores early models with uprated engines, suspension and bespoke interiors, while tweaking the exterior designs, for a cleaner, more contemporary look.

We saw a parallel with how we work, and the C-1 was the perfect starting point. A contemporary update on the classic mid-century chronograph, its minimal design combines clean lines with precision engineering, just like a Rennsport 911. Designed to last multiple lifetimes, it’s made from durable 904L stainless steel, an alloy far more durable and corrosion-resistant than the industry-standard 316L. Our steel is harder to mill, but we believe it’s worth going the extra mile, and the results speak for themselves.

Elsewhere, the watch features our signature one-piece dished dial, which curves around its edges, seamlessly meeting the bottom of the domed sapphire crystal. This combination gives the display a unique sense of depth.

Powering the C-1 Rennsport is an automatic Sellita bi-compax elabore movement, ensuring accuracy and reliability, whether you happen to be behind the wheel of a classic 911 or not. Elsewhere, bright green Super-LumiNova® lights up the hands and crown pip, while the Aera logo is machined from solid Globolight™ for an icey white glow. The lacquer on the bezel, crown dot and hands are all applied by hand, making each watch different from the last.

Each C-1 Rennsport Chronograph comes on a black pebble leather strap with red stitching. Our straps are integrated, offering a seamless look, and feature our quick release spring bars so they can be swapped with ease. We spent three years perfecting their shape and the angle of the lugs for unrivalled comfort. For Rennsport car owners, there is an exclusive option to engrave their car’s serial number on the case lug. At an additional cost, there is also an option to order a bespoke strap made from the materials used in the interior of their own car.

All Aera watches come with have a two-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. You can easily extend the warranty for one additional year by visiting the Warranty page and registering your watch. We undertake to repair, free of charge, including shipping, any problem with the functions of the watch that result from defective manufacturing. If there is mechanical failure of the movement within the warranty period, rectification will include reseal and complementary refresh of the case.
