AERA PARTNERS WITH THE ROYAL YACHTING ASSOCIATION.
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the RYA (Royal Yachting Association). As the Official Timing Partner, Aera is joining hands with the RYA to celebrate the precision and passion of a sport where timing is everything.
In 2025, the RYA will celebrate its 150th anniversary. Founded to promote recreational sailing in UK waters, the RYA offers training and qualification to both amateur and professional sailors.
It is also the arbiter of YTC (Yacht Time Correction) which applies handicaps to racer-cruisers, ensuring a universally fair system for both in-shore regattas and off-shore races. Starting in August 2024, Aera will provide the official timing for the YTC system, ensuring reliability and precision on and off the water.

encourages active participation in sailing for all skill levels and for all manner of sailing boats. Its not about being the biggest or the best, it’s about getting out and doing it which is why we are thrilled with the Aera x RYA partnership and our shared values.
