The C-1 Cloud Chronograph is another first for Aera with a non-black dial. It’s an exercise in lightness, pairing a light matt grey dial with sky blue accents. Printed markings for the outer timing track and both sub-dials are in a dark grey for added contrast. The one-piece dished dial and the ergonomic elliptical 904L brushed stainless steel case give the watch an enhanced feeling. The seconds hand and pointers are in a sky blue lacquer and the grey framed sword hands are filled in Swiss Super-LumiNova® Grade X1. The Cloud seconds hand and pointers have crisp white Swiss Super-LumiNova® Grade X1, tips which glow green for night time clarity. The Aera logo, which is cut from solid white Globolight©, glows white in contrast to the strong green of the hands.

The beating mechanical heart of the C-1 is a Swiss-made Sellita SW510 BH b Bi-compax Elabore grade automatic movement with a 56-hour power reserve. Setting the time or manual winding is done through the central screw-in crown flanked by the pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock, the former to start and stop the chronograph’s stop-watch function indicated by the display’s main second hand, and the latter for reset.

The central chronograph seconds hand times to 1/5th of a second on the dished rehaut of the one-piece dial, while sub dials to right and left, are timed minutes and running seconds. Like all Aera watches, the C-1’s movement is protected by a flush-fitting, screw-in case back engraved with key specifications and its own unique serial number.

Included with the C-1 Cloud are two integrated straps in White FKM Scuba Rubber and Italian Light Grey Leather, with 904L buckles, both fully interchangeable with a simple 2-pin quick-release mechanism and a Black Pebble Grain Italian Leather watch pouch.’
